FASHION ILLUSTRATION WORKSHOP
Vogue Vignette’s Illustrated History of Fashion Workshop takes you on a visual journey of the hottest fashion of the 1960’s and how it relates to the social and cultural happenings of the era. You’ll practice along with artist, Stephanie J. Schiller as she demonstrates and teaches you to sketch stylish silhouettes and accessories. With new inspiration, confidence and skills, you’ll design, sketch & color your own 1960’s inspired paper doll.
How it works: I have a fun, and fully illustrated presentation (appx. 10-15 minutes) followed by a 30- minute art lesson (pre-prepared worksheets will be sent out prior to the event so pages can be printed or shipped). After the lesson, students will have another 15-30 minutes for a Q&A and designing/coloring.
All levels: Stick figures and up. My sister was my +1 last year and she DOES NOT draw but she was able to illustrate a pretty legit outfit by the end of class. My goal as an instructor has been to simplify things as much as possible so it takes some of the fear out of art.
The vibe: This virtual workshop is about individual participation but is also a fun team building practice. It’s hands on, they get to draw, they get to laugh and encourage each other and their sketches. It’s for fun. And to learn a little.
